La Plantation Kep
La Plantation Kep is a pepper plantation located in the coastal province of Kep in southern Cambodia. It is known for producing high-quality Kampot pepper, which is considered one of the best peppers in the world due to its unique flavor and aroma.
La Plantation Kep was founded in 2008 by a French couple, Nathalie and Guy Trottier, who were inspired by the potential of the area's soil and climate for pepper cultivation. They started with just one hectare of land and gradually expanded to over 10 hectares, producing both black and red Kampot pepper.
The plantation offers guided tours that allow visitors to learn about the pepper cultivation process, from planting to harvesting and processing. They also offer cooking classes and a restaurant that serves dishes made with their own pepper and other local ingredients.
In addition to producing pepper, La Plantation Kep is committed to sustainability and social responsibility. They use organic farming practices and support local communities through job creation and education initiatives.
